Atul Saxena

Executive Vice President

With 26 years of experience in Information Technology and over 15 years in the insurance industry, Atul Saxena joined the StrateSphere team in May 2009. He is currently responsible for existing portfolio company operations support, development of new ventures, and project management. In earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from India, Mr. Saxena's professional successes have advanced in business development and outsourcing strategy.

Eric Schmidlin

Eric Schmidlin is an innovative, results-driven leader with broad-based expertise in operations, strategic planning and business development. Mr. Schmidlin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University and a dual Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering and management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. With 15 years of diverse industry and functional expertise in executive and director level positions, he has lead organizations through significant growth, diversification, subsequent mergers, and acquisitions activities.

Damon Caiazza

Damon Caiazza is a successful entrepreneur with more than 11 years of professional consulting experience in project management, software system development and implementation, business process reengineering, market research and analytics. He previously held positions with Blue Diesel, Venture Assets, Scimus Information Systems, and has served as an independent technology and start-up consultant. He is a member of the Project Management Institute and holds his PMP certification. Damon Caiazza is a founding member of StrateSphere.

Dr. Daryl Sybert

DO, F.A.O.A.O.

Dr. Sybert has been on the cutting edge of spinal surgery for more than a decade. A founding partner of The New Albany Surgical Hospital, Dr. Sybert continues to be instrumental in cultivating its reputation for excellence. He leads his team as both Spine Surgical Fellowship Director and Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program Director. In addition, Dr. Sybert is an Orthopedic Spinal Surgeon with OrthoNeuro (Orthopedic and Neurological Consultants, Inc.) He serves as the Spinemed Program Director and on the Executive Management Team.

Dr. Mazen Ibrahim Hassounah

Managing Partner, Middle East

In various academic and non-academic positions in Saudi Arabia, Canada and the UK, Dr. Hassounah has over 27 years of experience in engineering, planning, corporate advisory services, investment banking, and asset management services. Dr. Hassounah was awarded a PhD in planning from the University of Toronto in 1992 after completing an MSc in Planning from the University of Toronto in 1988 and a BSc in civil engineering from University of Petroleum and Minerals in 1982.

Dr. Ibrahim Bin Mohammed Al Awaji

Dr. Awaji is a 1994 graduate of King Saud University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Political Science. He has a diploma in Management of Development Projects from University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA where he also obtained his masters in Public Administration. In 1971, he received is Ph.D. in Public Affairs (Government) at the University of Virginia. He has published research and studies on bureaucracy and society, administrative development and local government in Saudi Arabia and the modernization of Arab Local Administration.

Michael H. Thomas

Michael H. Thomas, CPA, Principal, is responsible for initiating investment opportunities, structuring acquisitions, coordinating due diligence, negotiating transaction terms, working with Portfolio Company management teams, and managing the disposition of Stonehenge investments. His activities included direct investments in the financial services, publishing, health care, real estate and manufacturing sectors. Mr. Thomas earned a B.B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.

Paul Thompson

With his keen business sense and dedication to improving the bottom line, Paul Thompson rose through the ranks at Nationwide, one of the world's largest insurance and financial services companies. Mr. Thompson served as Senior Executive VP over the Property and Casualty Business Unit. His organizational abilities and attention to detail saved the company millions of dollars and helped build a strong, reputable customer service.

Ashok Syal

Ashok Syal is a senior business executive with over 25 years of management experience in varied industries and market segments, including IT consulting, engineering services, marketing, and manufacturing. He has extensive experience across diverse organizational functions, in implementing strategies, processes and systems. He has both started new and run existing operations in multicultural environments, including Japan, China, India and in the U.S. Mr. Syal attended IIT Delhi (Indian Institute of Technology) and is a graduate of electrical engineering, completed the Senior Management Program at IIM Ahemdabad and has Cert. II in Japanese.
